Ricardo Diaz is a senior corporate supply chain manager at Seaspan Shipyards, one of Canada’s leading shipbuilding and marine services organisations. He leads strategic sourcing and complex contract negotiations across the enterprise, overseeing critical programs in shipbuilding, ship repair and the corporate reform program.
Most recently, he has played a key role in procurement strategy by helping to establish Seaspan’s Indigenous business engagement program. Diaz is also the founder of Seaspan’s VAMOS Hispanic‑Latino employee resource group.
Before joining Seaspan, Diaz was procurement director at STEMCELL Technologies and the Peak Group of Companies, and earlier in his career he spent several years with Toyota Motor Corporation in Japan and Latin America, managing global sourcing programs for high‑volume vehicle production and leading supplier development initiatives.
