    Kim Buksa is a leader in sustainable procurement, focused on advancing Indigenous economic inclusion through systems-level change. As manager of sustainable and ethical procurement at the City of Vancouver, she led the development of the Social Value Procurement Framework, embedding Indigenous participation, supplier diversity, equity and environmental responsibility into public purchasing.

    With experience supporting economic development within Indigenous and social-purpose organizations, Buksa works to shift institutional practices and help public bodies become better buyers. Grounded in reconciliAction, UNDRIP and distinctions-based approaches, her work is shaped by respectful, ongoing relationships with local Nations and Indigenous communities.
