Haleigh Callison is a proud member of the Hwlitsum First Nation and resides in Vancouver, BC, on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musqueam, Squamish, and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations. She grew up in Smithers, BC, and completed a degree in Human Kinetics while playing varsity ice hockey for the UBC Thunderbirds.
Haleigh is currently the Team Lead, Cedar Sales (North America) with Western Forest Products, bringing over a decade of experience in the lumber and forestry sector. Prior to this, she spent 14 years as a General Manager and Strength & Conditioning Coach at a high-performance training centre and also enjoyed a professional hockey career in Germany, Kazakhstan, and across Canada and the US.
She holds a dual MBA from Cornell and Queen’s, earning the Community Builder Award selected by her cohort. Haleigh serves as a Director on the BC Hockey Board, Co-Chair of the UBC Alumni Advisory Council, and continues long-standing community involvement with the Canucks for Kids Foundation.
Haleigh is also the President and Founder of Takoda Consulting and a Co-Founder of Takoda Industrial Supplies, Indigenous female-owned businesses – her consulting is focused on supporting male-dominated industries through critical thinking, practical systems change, and inclusive growth.
