Beverly LambertA Matriarch of Metis Cultural Knowledge

    Born in the vibrant Métis community of Fort Vermilion, Alberta, Bev was nurtured by her loving parents, Mac and Nora Lambert, alongside her 18 siblings in the Rocky Lane/Buttertown area. Her rich ancestral heritage stems from the Paul, Lizotte, Chalifoux, and Sowan families. Surrounded by talented musicians, fiddlers, singers, and dancers, music and dance played a transformative role in her life. Bev feels deeply honored to share the gifts and knowledge passed down from her ancestors. With 36 years of experience running a cultural business, she has successfully inspired students and communities across Canada. At 66 years young, Kokum Bev firmly believes that sharing culture is essential for mental wellness, and that a holistic approach addressing mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual aspects is key to overall well-being. Within our education system, it is vital to empower students to understand how cultural identity shapes self-worth and to foster a bullying-free environment, where every child thrives. Beverly is passionate about inspiring individuals to celebrate their heritage, emphasizing that we are all born with unique ancestral gifts that will guide us towards our purpose. Through her motivational speaking engagements and energetic workshops, Kokum Bev guides participants in finding balance in their lives, leading to success in all endeavors. Her grassroots teaching style, infused with humor and laughter, caters to all ages and offers eight programs to choose from. Kokum Bev’s aerobic exercise routines will energize and heal your mind, body, and spirit.
